Kate Lomabardi, author of “The Mama’s Boy Myth: Why Keeping our Sons Close Makes Them Stronger“, is coming to the Portland Public Library on Thursday, June 7th, from 6:30-8:30PM. Her presentation will be followed by a question and answer period. Please RSVP as space is limited. Admission is free with donations accepted at the door.

Boys to Men hosts a Book Club geared towards parents, caregivers, educators and community members interested in discussing male portrayal in literature, fiction and non-fiction. They will discuss books and how literature does or does not perpetuate the male myth.
The next meeting will be held on Thursday, June 21, 6:30PM at the Portland Public Library. There are two books selected for June are Beautiful Boy by David Sheff and The Mama’s Boy Myth, by Kate Lomabardi.
