Boys to Men hosts a Book Club geared towards parents, caregivers, educators and community members interested in discussing male portrayal in literature, fiction and non-fiction. We will discuss books and how literature does or does not perpetuate the male myth.
The next meeting will be held on Thursday, November 15, 6:30PM at the Portland Public Library. The book selected for November is the classic The Catcher in the Rye, by J.D. Salinger. Published in 1951, The Catcher in the Rye is still relevant and popular with teen readers today for its themes of teenage confusion, angst, alienation, and rebellion.
If you missed the previous Book Club, please feel free to join!

THANK YOU everyone for participating in the 2012 Boys To Men Auction: A Celebration of Growth. We had an eventful evening of Kentucky Derby festivities, live music by Perrin Davidson and Claire Maurer, a silent and live auction with Bill Serretta, a speech by Executive Director Drew Wing, a presentation by a high school student about RSVP, and a great group of friends, colleagues and supporters of Boys of Men. Thank you to Jen Fox and the Auction Committee for organizing this important fundraiser.
Thank you all for coming – your continued support and involvement with Boys to Men are greatly appreciated.
